NutriVision ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-assisted calorie and nutrition tracker. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Guest access does not require an email address; email or Google account information is processed when you choose a recoverable account.

Meal photos and written descriptions are sent to Google's Gemini API to produce nutrition estimates. Model and prompt settings may be selected through Firebase Remote Config.
Your profile, meal logs, and hydration data are stored in Cloud Firestore, scoped to your Firebase user ID. Photos are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage under the same scope.
We rely on the following processors, each governed by their own privacy terms:
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from within the app, your profile, meal logs, and stored photos are permanently deleted from our systems. This is irreversible.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR including access, correction, deletion, and portability of your data. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Contact us to exercise any of these.
NutriVision is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
Data in transit is encrypted (TLS). Firestore and Storage access is restricted to your own Firebase account via server-enforced security rules. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
